APRN Clinical Placement,
Built Around Your Program.

Preceptor.Network matches advanced practice nursing students with preceptors who fit their school's exact clinical requirements — role, specialty, population focus, location, and schedule. No cold-calling. No five-figure placement fees.

APRN students are doing the work twice.

You're already studying for boards, finishing didactic coursework, managing a job and a family. And on top of that, your program puts the burden of finding a clinical preceptor squarely on you. Schools rarely help. Placement services charge thousands. Facebook groups are noisy and unverified. Most students end up doing months of cold outreach for a placement that should have been ready weeks ago.

"I emailed 90 providers across three states. Two responded. Neither could take me until the next semester."

— FNP student

"My program requires a psych-mental-health preceptor for 180 hours. There are maybe four within driving distance and they're all booked."

— PMHNP student

"The placement service quoted me $4,800 for a single rotation. I'm already $90K into this degree."

— AGACNP student

How Preceptor.Network works for APRN students

Three steps. Less than three minutes from email to ranked matches.

01

Sign up with your school email

We identify your school and program from your .edu domain. If your school's program requirements are already loaded, we apply them automatically.

02

Pick your rotation

Select the rotation you need to fill. The matching engine filters preceptors by credential, APRN role, specialty, population focus, care model, and location.

03

Request a match for $10

Browse ranked preceptors, review their profile and student feedback, and send a request. Flat $10 per confirmed match — that's it.

Find a preceptor for your specific role

Different APRN roles, different program requirements, different preceptor pools. Start where you actually are:

Questions APRN students ask

Who counts as an APRN student here?
Any student in an accredited APRN program — FNP, AGPCNP, AGACNP, PMHNP, PNP, WHNP, CNM, CNS, or CRNA. We match by your role and population focus, not just "nurse practitioner" as a single bucket.
How is this different from a paid placement service?
Paid placement services charge $2,000 to $10,000+ to do the searching for you. Preceptor.Network charges a $10 flat fee per confirmed match request — and you do the searching yourself, with the matching engine doing the heavy lifting. Preceptor accounts are always free.
Will the preceptors actually meet my school's requirements?
The matching engine uses your program's clinical requirements as the filter — credential, specialty, population focus, care model, hours, and supervisor rules — so what you see is what your program will accept. If your school has uploaded its program rules, the filter is exact. If not, you can edit the requirements on your match request before sending it.
What if my program requires a specific preceptor credential?
You can require it. The preceptor filter includes credential (MD, DO, NP, PA, CNM, CRNA, etc.) and APRN role, so you only see preceptors who can sign off on your clinical hours.
Do I have to pay before I see preceptors?
No. Search and browsing are free. You only pay the $10 match fee after a preceptor accepts your match request — and you can request multiple matches if your first choice doesn't work out.

Your APRN preceptor is already in the network.
